NSCC was lead applicant for the consortium which included: Bowling Green State University, Northwest State Community College, Owens Community College, Penta Career Center, Rhodes State College, Terra State Community College, and The University of Toledo
The RAPIDS 1.0 project focused on Advanced Manufacturing and IT/Cyber security training. The NORTH consortium was awarded funding for 2 mobile training units (trailers). One trailer was designed to house an instrumentation (process controls) training system and the other houses a mechatronics training system (all equipment can be removed and set up at the receiving institution). The units are also equipped with computer workstations that can be used on the training equipment, and for computer data and security training.
